Covers the basic skill set needed to understand / operate woodworking hand tools. This 16 hour course covers: - Hand tool safety. - Shop etiquette - Understanding Hand Tool Terminology and Types of Hand Tools. I.e. Types of Chisels, Hand Planes, Saws and Hammers - Assembly of Joinery We Practice Cutting a variety of joinery techniques in this class, including Mitres, Dovetails, and Half Laps. - Each participant will be able to take home all of the sample joints they make.
