FORMS & CONSENT
Please Note that all participants to Workshops, Micro Skills Classes and Health and Safety Training MUST fill out our Indemnity Agreement and Terms and Conditions Form. Photography Consent Form is Optional but strongly encouraged.
General Disclaimer
Please note that each participant needs to fill out separate forms for the workshop. They also need to be 18 years of age or older to participate. As we do our due diligence to keep you safe, we expect your full attention in return that you have made every effort understand the hazards associated with participating in our workshops and classes.
It should be made clear that we will be working with different woods and depending on the class/workshop electrically powered equipment.
While our facility is equipped with excellent dust collection and filtration systems you will be exposed to some woods and dusts from making your project.
Please notify us of any conditions that may prevent you from safely operating electrically powered woodworking equipment i.e. physical impairments, injuries and or sensitivities/known allergies to wood species, pollens or dusts. Please also indicate if your require specific accommodations.
In direct preparation for your workshop/class please be advised that you are expected to:
1. Be punctual.
2. Attend the introduction, tour and safety presentation prior to the activity.
3. Wear appropriate clothing. Clothing should not be baggy or too loose as there are moving parts that loose or baggy clothing could become entangled in while operating equipment. We include all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Which include: clear safety glasses, paper mask with valves, expanding foam hearing protection with most workshops.
4. Wear closed toe shoes as open toe shoes are not permitted in the shop area.
5. Note that we while we do not have scheduled breaks for workshops that are less than 6 hours, you are free to take a break as you see fit.
6. Our facility has a small reception area near the front doors equipped with an espresso/coffee/tea/water station. Please note that (only 6hr+ workshops and classes) during lunch breaks we must vacate the facility to allow staff to have their lunch break also. We do allow dry snacks and beverages but expect that you leave the space as it was found and free from any mess that could attract critters.
7. Please be respectful of the space. There is a lot of equipment in our space and please only explore or touch equipment if you are asked to or instructed by one of our staff during a class or workshop.
8. Through out the workshop/class please listen to our staff / instructor and direct any inquiries to him/her if you are unsure of any training received.
9. We are expected to leave our workstations as we found them so we do allocate 15min at the end of every class to tidy up and have a wrap up discussion/reflection period.
10. Most importantly, we hope you learn, have fun and be safe!
